AI for Queer Health
Advancing biomedical and clinical research through artificial intelligence
Contrary to popular belief, queer Pride is not—and has never been—merely a celebration. Historically and fundamentally, it is a way of building social networks and experiencing collective happiness as a form of resistance for a community facing structural oppression. In this spirit, this symposium is not intended as a celebratory event, but as a critical invitation to the scientific community. We seek to mobilize research as a tool for justice, contributing to a world where health is a right, not a privilege.
The topics selected for this symposium—HIV, queer-specific mental health, and GAHT—serve as both an acknowledgment of the unique health disparities faced by our community and a showcase of the scientific progress achieved to date, while creating a map for the work that remains. Furthermore, this symposium serves as a reminder of the intersectionality of human health; if we are to achieve true wellness, we must build a world where equitable healthcare systems are accessible to all.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
